Welcome to my research
This page is dedicated to one of the most famous photographers of all time. Diane Arbus. Her work had a shock factor to them, jolting awake the senses of the average people. Some could be considered crude in nature, but that's the definition of true art. Opening the minds of others to another point of view.

Who:
|
What & Where: |
Diane Arbus was not the average woman of her time period and born in New York. When she grew up she picked up a camera and took pictures everywhere she went. Always looking for the interesting photo. At first she was a painter, but was taught how to do photography, changing her life forever. Unfortunately at the age of 48 Diane Arbus committed suicide as a result from depression and following a divorce from her husband.
Final Product(s)
Why:The people she took pictures of attracted her. Because they were extraordinary, yet they were still people underneath the makeup and all the other stuff. And her husband at the time was into fashion, so she came with some ideas of how to branch out based on that.
Diane Arbus herself
Inspiration Photo |
In New York Diane Arbus was taking photos of people who were looked down upon for their life style choices. And that created another light on the city where she lived. Drawing the attention of the people around her for her personal style.
How:
By going out into her part of the world and looking around for the things that most people would be avoiding. Then finding willing people who will model for the shocking bits of art.
